Family Mentors

Description When and Where

We have a vision for a new program that would assist families under the direction of DLCS family coaches. Once we have 100 families sponsored, we will begin the program. Each coach will be working with each family on a monthly basis to meet their individual family goals on the road to self-sufficiency and happiness.

Volunteers would assist in the following:

  • Follow up with families when attendance drops from any family member in any of our programs.
  • Tutor special need areas when they are identified.
  • Assist families with financial planning. We ask our donors and volunteers not to give any family direct support.
  • Make a contribution to DLCS to support one or more families at $100 a month/$1200 a year to provide gap services, individual family focus and year-round DLCS programming.

Dates and times to be determined
