I have worked at Della Lamb since 2010 – 11 years in May. I work in the Early Education Department as the Infant/Toddler Lead Teacher

How did you first get involved with Della Lamb?

My involvement began in 2010 when my boys started getting involved in Della Youth Services. They played football under the guidance of Coach Tony and Maurice as well as Stride Ryte Track Club under the guidance of Coach Ken McDaniel.

What is your favorite thing about working at Della Lamb/Why is Della Lamb important to you?

The Della Lamb Family. My favorite and most rewarding part is to see the joy in the children’s faces every morning and watching their development and meet their development and social milestones as they progress through the education program. It also warms my heart to see them in the community doing well and being successful.

What is your favorite project at Della Lamb?

Operation Holidays

What are your hobbies? How do you spend your free time?

I love doing simple crafts such as working on my Cricut machine and blinging out coffee mugs and personalized tumblers. I love traveling with family on small road trips and streaming movies.

What is your favorite thing about Kansas City?

The Kansas City Chiefs, Boys in Blue Royals, Farmers Market, Juneteenth Celebration and Ethnic Enrichment Festival

If you could meet anyone living or dead, who would you meet?

My mom’s father passed before my birth and I don’t remember my father’s dad. I would love to meet my grandfathers – I have millions of questions and I’m very curious about my height!

Any favorite quote or movie?

My mother’s favorite song during her battle with health issues before gaining her wings in 2021. “You Fight On.” “You say a prayer, you sing a song, and you fight on.”
